Cork historian publishes two new military history titles

Two new books on military history, The Western Front: Irish Voices from the Great W ar (Gill and Macmillan), and The FCA: An Illustrated History (History PressIreland), both written by Corkhistorian Dr William Sheehan, have just been published.

The first title, The Western Front: Irish Voices from the Great War brings to life the experiences of Irishmen who fought with the British Army from 1914 to 1918. The second book, The FCA: An Illustrated History, is a pictorial history of a great Irish institution, An Fórsa Cosanta Áitiúil, the Irish army reserve, covering the period from 1947 to 2005.

 

Dr. Sheehan has also just signed a contract with Gill and Macmillan to produce a comprehensive history of the Irish Revolution and Civil War period, entitled The Battle forIreland: 1916-1923.
