Online workshop about disposable and reusable menstrual products.
Join us for an online workshop led by Abigail O'Callaghan-Platt from VOICE about disposable and reusable menstrual products.
Menstruation is a healthy part of life experienced by over 50% of the population of Ireland. However, years of shame shame and taboo surrounding this normal bodily function has led to a lot of confusion when it comes to the range of menstruation products available.
Our dependence on disposable products has led to stark environmental damage; disposable menstrual items are the 5th most commonly littered product found on our beaches.
Green Campus are delighted to welcome Abigail O'Cllaghan-Platt from charity VOICE to deliver a workshop looking at disposable and reusable menstrual items. in this 40- minute workshop we'll talk about our options and look at menstrual cups, period pants and cloth pads; how much they cost, where to buy them and how to use them!
The workshops are open to all staff and students of UCC.
