Vacancy for a Lecturer in Irish Literature in the School of English

Specific Purpose (3-year Whole-time Post)
UCC wishes to appoint an academic with experience of teaching Irish Literature (1900—present) in international contexts to the role of Lecturer in Irish Literature. Reporting to the Head of School, the Lecturer will have responsibility for teaching and research in the area of Irish Literature. The Lecturer will also co-ordinate and deliver the Early Start programme in English for North American students, liaise with the International Office, and develop pedagogic initiatives aimed at international students.
Please note that Garda vetting and/or an international police clearance check may form part of the selection process.
The University, at its discretion, may undertake to make an additional appointment(s) from this competition following the conclusion of the process.

Appointment may be made on the Lectureship below or above the Bar Scale: €31,821 - €56,967/€62,353 - €76,942.
In all instances the successful appointment will be at the first point of the scale
