Research Team Investigating Viking Heritage in Munster

Researchers meet with heritage experts and tourism representatives
The School of English will be hosting a research team led by Dr Christina Lee (University of Nottingham) and Dr Tom Birkett (School of English, UCC) from 28 April to 2 May. This initiative is part of the AHRC-funded 'Languages, Myths and Finds' Project, which is helping the British Museum in the translation of Viking heritage in five different locations across the UK and Ireland. The team of four PhDs will be collaborating with Munster-based heritage experts, academics and tourism representatives in the production of community-specific resources on the Vikings, and will be running workshops in Coláiste Choilm School, Ballincollig.
