New Play by Film Artist in Residence, Carmel Winters

Witness to play at Project Arts Theatre, Dublin and Everyman Theatre in Cork
Written by Carmel Winters (B for Baby and Best Man), Witness is a spell-binding portrait of a mother and son, whose powerful story will pin you to your seats from start to breathless finish.
Two years ago Shannon's teenage son did something that shocked the nation. She has finally agreed to a public telling of what happened and why. But while the feisty young Mum tells us one story, we see a very different story unfold onstage, as her son Stephen relives not just his own history, but also the past his mother denies.
Based in part on the award-winning feature film Snap, Witness is a theatrical tour-de-force from Irish Times Best New Play winner Carmel Winters and leading actress Kate Stanley Brennan.
"A play that is riveting, satisfying, emotional and powerful… Kate Stanley Brennan's performance is nothing short of perfection" Red Curtain Review
Witness is playing in the Everyman in Cork from Tuesday 10th to Saturday 14th of March. There will be a post-show discussion on Wednesdsay 11th March. For further information and to book tickets, visit the Everyman's website:
