Translating Early Medieval Poetry: Transformation, Reception, Interpretation (Boydell, 2017) is edited by former colleague Dr Kirsty March-Lyons and the School's lecturer in Old English, Dr Tom Birkett, and contains 12 chapters dealing with the practicalities, theoretical considerations and impact of translating poems from the medieval Irish, Old English and Old Norse traditions.
The collection is one of three books being launched at the reception for the 32nd Irish Conference of Medievalists, held this year at UCC.
