Harry Ransom Center Research Fellowships

Fellowships awarded to Dr Katie Garner and Dr Eibhear Walshe
The prestigious awards are supported by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation Research Fellowship Endowment.
Dr Katie Garner will spend a month working in the Harry Ransom Center in Austin, Texas, where she will be examining the manuscripts and diaries of Dinah Mulock Craik and Mary Elizabeth Braddon to uncover new information about their use of the Arthurian legend. The research will form part of Katie's monograph, Women Writers and the Arthurian Legend, 1700-1900.
Dr Eibhear Walshe will spend a month in Austin, Texas, where he will be examining the rich holdings of Elizabeth Bowen and related material at the in the Harry Ransom Center. The research forms part of Eibhear’s new book on Bowen.
To have two of these highly competitive fellowships awarded to the School is a remarkable achievement and we wish Katie and Eibhear the very best in their Texan travels.
