The School of English has collaborated with Dr Mel Mercier of the School of Music and Theatre and other partners in UCC on a successful application for funding from the UCC strategic research fund.
The School of English has collaborated with Dr Mel Mercier of the School of Music and Drama Studies and other partners in UCC on a successful application for funding from the UCC strategic research fund. The funding will be used for a workshop to explore the concept of the Creative Campus, and the establishment, management and development of relationships between arts and humanities researchers and the creative economy (co-ordinated by Claire Connolly and Mel Mercier); and for a project award for interdisciplinary collaborations between UCC researchers and cultural organisations or creative economy entrepreneurs (to be awarded competitively during 2013-14).
Mel Mercier is the Principal Investigator; co-applicants are Prof Claire Connolly, Prof John Cryan, Ms Fiona Keanrey, Dr Rachel MagShamhráin and Ms Virginia Teehan.
