Dr. Mary O’Connell is a National University of Ireland Postdoctoral Fellow in the School of English, UCC. Mary is the co-editor, with Graham Allen and Carrie Griffin, of Readings on Audience and Textual Materiality (Pickering and Chatto, 2010). She delivered the annual John Murray Archive lecture at the National Library of Scotland in 2014, and is presently writing a biography of John Murray.
