Dr Liz Gilchrist, Chair of School of Chemistry EDI said "We're delighted to have Dr Niamh O'Mahoney share her knowledge with us today. The insight on how we can best create supportive environments and effectively adapt teaching strategies to accommodate varied learning styles is greatly beneficial to us as educators and to our students."

Professor Anita Maguire, Head of School said “The School of Chemistry is delighted to mark today’s International Day of Women and Girls in Science as part of the IUPAC Global Women’s Breakfast with a timely seminar by Dr Niamh O’Mahoney on her work, supported by a prestigious NUI Fellowship, in relation to neurodiversity, and focusing in particular on practical advice in helping to ensure our teaching is inclusive. It is very clear that having diverse voices and inputs leads to improved decision-making and outcomes across society, including workplaces and other environments. Accordingly, identifying tangible steps we can take to ensure our programmes are broadly accessible to people with diverse strengths and skills is a key priority for the School.”
