PATH Funded Projects

Access UCC provides support for PATH funded projects across the University. PATH (Programme for Access to Higher Education) is a a dedicated fund, broken into five strands, committed to increasing participation by under-represented groups in higher education. 

 

PATH Strand 1 – Initial Teacher Education 

PATH Strand 2 – 1916 Bursaries 

PATH Strand 3 – Higher Education Access Fund: Enabling Transitions, Connecting Communities, see the work conducted by the SOAR Project inter-institutional collaboration (2018-2025) : https://www.soarforaccess.ie/

PATH Strand 4 

Phase 1 - Universal Design Fund (2022 – 2024) and Inclusive Environment Fund (2025 – 2026) 

  • ENGAGE Reverse Mentoring 
  • MOVE (MObiling Vectors for Engagement) 

Phase 2 (2023-2025) – Course provision for Students with Intellectual Disabilities 

  • In UCC this work is carried out by the  id+ Futures Project 

PATH Strand 5  -  Support for students from the Traveller and Roma community
