University College Cork Welcomes Students to Clubs Day 2025
University College Cork (UCC) is excited to welcome all students to the annual Clubs Day on the 18th of September, a highlight of Freshers Week, taking place at The Hub and across the main campus. This vibrant event, organised under the leadership of Tomasz Mrowca, Clubs Executive President at UCC, is set to showcase the diverse range of over 45 clubs available to students.
Clubs Day is an integral part of Freshers Week, offering new and returning students the opportunity to explore various clubs, meet like-minded peers, and sign up for activities that align with their interests and passions. There are over 45 clubs to choose including team sports, individual and recreational, there is something for everyone at UCC.
Morgan Buckley, Head of Sport at UCC, shared his enthusiasm for the event, stating, “Clubs Day is a wonderful chance for students to explore new passions, connect with others, and immerse themselves in the vibrant UCC community. With a wide variety of clubs that reflect diverse interests and talents, there’s something for everyone. I encourage all students to make the most of this day by discovering, engaging, and getting involved in the many opportunities available.”

The event will feature:
- Interactive Stands: Each club will have a stand where students can learn more about their activities, meet current members, and sign up.
- Live Demonstrations: Some clubs will offer live demonstrations and mini workshops to give students a taste of what they can expect. For example, Basketball, Rowing and Volleyball will be doing events on campus.
- Fun Activities: Various fun activities and games will be organised to create a lively and welcoming atmosphere.
Clubs Day is scheduled to take place on 18th of September 2025, from 10am to 4pm at The Hub and across campus. All students are encouraged to attend and make the most of this exciting event.
