About the R&A Golf Scholarship
The R&A Foundation Scholarship aims to identify and assist student golfers who demonstrate exceptional skill and potential. The scholarship is awarded annually and can be renewed for up to five years, providing sustained support throughout the recipient’s academic career.
Scholarship Levels and Criteria
The scholarship is divided into four levels: Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze, each with specific eligibility criteria:
- Platinum Award: For top 100 WAGR ranked players or those with significant international achievements.
- Gold Award: For top 500 WAGR ranked players or those with notable national and international performances.
- Silver Award: For top 1500 WAGR ranked players or those with strong national junior achievements.
- Bronze Award: For players with regional representation and solid domestic performances.
Application Process
Applications for the 2024/25 academic year open on September 9th and close on October 18th at 12 noon. Interested students must be in full-time tertiary education and have their application endorsed by their academic institution. The selection process is rigorous, ensuring that only the most deserving candidates receive this prestigious award.
