UCC historians and scientists mark the 500th anniversary of the birth of Andreas Vesalius

A symposium and art exhibition, on the occasion of the 500th anniversary of the birth of Andreas Vesalius, whose groundbreaking study On the Fabric of the Human Body (1543) transformed the history of medicine by inaugurating the modern discipline of medical anatomy. Papers will be presented by UCC scientists and historians (including Dr Hiram Morgan and Dr Jason Harris), and a keynote presentation will be given by Prof. Vivian Nutton (University College, London).
