Forensic Science Ireland give seminar for School of Chemistry students

Drs Ciarán Seoighe, Yvonne Kavanagh and Rodney Lakes from Forensic Science Ireland visited the School to speak to students about their work in forensic science and chemical analysis.

They provided fascinating insights into how scientific techniques are applied in real-world investigations, sharing examples from their professional experience and explaining the pathways that led them into the field.

The talk was both informative and inspiring, highlighting the future opportunities available within forensic science. It offered students a valuable glimpse into a relatively unseen yet cutting-edge sector, encouraging them to consider how their interest in science could translate into impactful and meaningful careers.
