School of Chemistry students receive Royal Society of Chemistry Awards
Congratulations to our third-year students Conor Goggin (Chemistry) and Kim Keohane (Chemistry with Forensic Science) who were awarded summer research bursaries from the Royal Society of Chemistry.
These prestigious awards provide promising students with the opportunity to undertake a research placement within the School of Chemistry.
Conor will be working with Dr Gillian Collins on bio-derived carbon nanomaterials for the preparation of green catalysts, while Kim is working with Drs. Elizabeth Gilchrist and Christopher Burke exploring metal-based fluorophores as next-generation forensic fingermarking agents.
