School of Chemistry hosts IUPAC Global Women's Breakfast Event
The School of Chemistry's EDI Unit organised an event for IUPAC's Global Women's Breakfast on 27th February 2024 with the theme 'Catalysing Diversity in Science'.
Thanks to Dr. Gillian Collins for giving an informative and inspiring talk detailing her pathway and experience in academia. Thanks also goes to the RSC for providing funding and members from across the School of Chemistry for supporting the event.
The Global Women's Breakfast is a worldwide event organised by the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry. Held in conjunction with the U.N. Day of Women and Girls in Science, the goal of the GWB series is to establish an active network of people of all genders to overcome the barriers to gender equality in science. Over the last five years, more than 1500 GWB events have been held in 100 countries. More information can be found on their website: https://iupac.org/gwb/
