EDI School Values and Training Day

The School of Biochemistry and Cell Biology recently held a School Values and Culture Awareness and Training Day that was attended by staff and researchers.

Following the granting of the Athena SWAN Bronze Award, the School has developed an action plan to address EDI areas that emerged from the School self-assessment and staff survey.

Under School Cultures & Values, the School is committed to better defining the School Values & Culture and informing staff on supports available outside the School.

The School Values and Culture awareness and training day was held in the Banking Hall, UCC Centre for Executive Education, Lapps Quay where staff engaged in the following information and training sessions:

  1. Information on Staff supports – Delivered by Susan O Mahony, Staff Wellbeing and Development Advisor
  2. Workshop on UCC and Individual Values - Delivered by Anne Gannon, Staff Wellbeing and Development Manager
  3. Bystander Intervention/EDI – Delivered by Professor Louise Crowley.
