Direct Entry into Medicine for Dental Graduates

Advanced Entry into Medicine for Dental Graduates beyond First Year:

Dental graduates who have a demonstrated intention of following a career in Oral Medicine and Oral/Maxillofacial Surgery including full completion of MFD/MFDS will be considered for admission to Second Medicine by applying for Advanced Entry Transfer. Applications will open on 6 March 2024 and will be made via the UCCApply portal. The closing date for application is 10 April 2024. Late applications cannot be considered. 

Scanned copies of supporting documents have to be uploaded with your UCC Apply Application so please have the following documents ready for upload:

• Transcripts - if applicable
• Proof of Identity - Clear readable copy of one of the following; Passport/ Birth cert/ Irish Driving licence (credit card format)/ Marriage cert
• Evidence of full completion of MFD /MFDS
• Evidence of English Language Proficiency - if applicable

 Dental graduates may be called for interview.  This is subject to the availability of places.
