UCC Rowing Resounding Success at Nationals!
For the first time, UCC came away with the most championship wins of the weekend (6!).
In those 6 championships, UCC Rowing had two first-time wins: men's senior 1x (R. Byrne) and the women's novice quad (D. Winter, B. Smiddy, S. O'Donovan, A. McCarthy & E. Barrett (C)). This is a testament to the fantastic coaching panel in place this year. C. Nolan further demonstrated her strengths after Women's Henley with a win in the Lightweight Scull.
UCC Rowing further excelled in the men's intermediate pair (R. Buckley and E. O'Neill), which has not been won by the club since 2013, and the men's club coxed four (R. Buckley, E. O'Neill, D. O'Callaghan, T. Lord & E. Barrett (C)), last won in 2018. Lastly, there was a men's senior double sculls win (A. Murphy and R. Byrne), a fantastic race!
