UCC Archery Intervarsity Success

Last weekend (10th - 11th February), UCC hosted the National Student Indoor Championships (NSIC) 2024 at the Mardyke Arena. We had over 180 archers from across Ireland competing, including 19 of our club members and coaches. 

As NSIC is separate from the ISAA Intervarsity League, its structure is different from the league competitions. On Saturday, each competitor shot 60 arrows for the qualifiers. Based on these scores, individuals and teams competed in head-to-head matches on Sunday to decide who would take home the trophies and medals.

As always, it was a pleasure to host NSIC this year. We would also like to thank everyone who travelled down to compete this weekend. The next competition for us will be Leg 3 of the ISAA League, the DU Intervarsity in March.
