Javier Campo es un joven realizador audiovisual, escritor y destacado observador crítico y analista cultural. Luego de haber vivido en Oceania y Europe, Javier reside hoy en su ciudad natal, su querida Buenos Aires. Javier Campo es Licenciado en Cinematografía egresado de la Universidad del Cine de Buenos Aires (FUC). En la actualidad, Javier se dedica a la realización audiovisual y a la escritura. Su libro, De Borges a Nolan: Inception como representación posmoderna, ha sido presentado en Serbia, Ucrania, Rumanía, La República Cheka y Berlín, Alemania entre otros lugares.
Javier Campo is an audio-visual artist, writer and respected critical observer and cultural analyst in Argentina. Having completed his university studies in Cinematography at the Universidad del Cine de Buenos Aires (FUC), Javier is currently dedicated to audiovisual production and writing. His book, has been presented in multiple locations across Europe including Serbia, Ukraine, Romania, the Czech Republic and at the Embassy of Argentina in Berlin, Germany.
This talk considers the renowned figure, Argentine writer Jorge Luis Borges and his influence on film director Christopher Nolan within the context of postmodern era. The Italian intellectual, Umberto Eco, considered Jorge Luis Borges to be a pioneer of the postmodern era given the way he pre-empts many postmodern era and internet-related concepts such as the Universal Library (Wikipedia), alternative identity construction (Gamin), intertext (hyperlink) and the fluent relationship between fictional and non-fictional narrative and storytelling (Internet and Social Media: Facebook, Twitter).
Esta presentación considera la obra del escritor Argentino, Jorge Luis Borges y su influencia sobre el director de cine, Christopher Nolan, dentro del contexto del posmodernismo. El intelectual, Umberto Eco, denominó a Borges como pionero del era postmoderno con su enfasis en conceptos como la Biblioteca Universal (Wikipedia), la construcción alternativa de la identidad, intertext/hyperlink y la relación fluida entre la ficción y la no-ficción (Internet, medios de comunicación social).
