Dr Michelle O’Driscoll is a Senior Postdoctoral Researcher with the National Suicide Research Foundation, and Clinical Lecturer at the School of Pharmacy UCC.
She graduated with a BPharm from UCC in 2011 and an MPharm from RCSI in 2012, she continues to practice as a pharmacist in the community setting.
Her PhD which she completed in 2019 was a national randomised controlled trial of a pharmacy student wellbeing intervention, implemented across the five schools of pharmacy.
Michelle also holds a Diploma in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education, and her primary research areas of interest include healthcare education, mental health and health literacy.
Ms Kerrie Gallagher is a researcher with the National Suicide Research Foundation and the Irish Prison Service. After earning a First-Class Honours BSc in Public Health Science in 2022, Kerrie joined the NSRF as a Research Officer, focusing on projects funded by the National Office for Suicide Prevention (NOSP).
During her academic journey, she gained extensive experience as an intern, contributing to various research projects at the School of Public Health, Clinical Research Facility at UCC, and the NSRF. Her work spans project design, implementation, analysis, and the production of diverse publications, such as quantitative studies, systematic reviews, and briefing reports. Kerrie’s research interests are centred on educational interventions for suicide prevention for health and social care students, the social determinants of health, and a special interest in Traveller mental health and suicide prevention.
