Professor Ken O’Halloran presented at the International Union of Physiological Sciences meeting in Rio de Janeiro, August 2017. Ken’s talk on: “Hypoxia-induced diaphragm dysfunction: Strengthening the case for antioxidant intervention in respiratory patients” was part of a symposium: Diaphragm plasticity in ageing & disease: Therapies for muscle weakness go from strength to strength! 

 The symposium proceedings will be published in the Journal of Applied Physiology early next year.
