UCC Physicists Participate in IOP Ireland Spring Conference 2026
Members of the School of Physics at University College Cork attended the Institute of Physics (IOP) Ireland Spring Conference 2026, held in Waterford.
Representing UCC were Head of School Prof. Paul Callanan and Prof. Andreas Ruschhaupt, along with several postgraduate researchers.
UCC PhD students Paul Wills, Sean McColgan, Sarah Sweeney, Conor Sexton, and Thomas Mohally presented their work in the conference poster competition. Conor Sexton was shortlisted and achieved 3rd place in the competition. Barry O'Donovan (UCC Physics Alum) was also among the poster presenters and joined the group for a photograph, as shown in this article.
The School of Physics congratulates all students for representing UCC and showcasing their research at this national event.
