UCC Medical Students take the Prescribing Safely Assessment for the first time
Medical students at University College Cork have sat for the Prescribing Safely Assessment for the first time.
The Prescribing Safely Assessment (PSA) has been developed by the British Pharmacological Society and Medical Schools Council in order to allow students to demonstrate their competencies in relation to the safe and effective use of medicines.
Students in the fourth and final year of their medical degrees have sat for the PSA. Over 100 students took the opportunity to take the assessment online on 2nd and 27th February.
The PSA at UCC was organised by the Department of Pharmacology & Therapeutics with assistance from the School of Medicine.
