University College Cork Protected Disclosures Report

Context: The Protected Disclosures Act 2014 requires public bodies to prepare and publish a report before the 30 June in each year confirming the number of protected disclosures made to the relevant public body in the preceding year and the action taken in response to the protected disclosure.

Report:

One disclosure was received in the above time period relating to alleged penalisation relating to a disclosure previously made in another organisation. An investigation into the matter concluded there was no wrongdoing on the part of the University.

One protected disclosure received on 26.8.2017, related to employment and other matters, is still under review.
