Mode of Teaching Delivery and Timetables
Teaching in the School Medicine, 2020 - 21
Our programmes will be delivered in accordance with the latest government and public health guidelines for 2020/21. To ensure the safety of our students and staff we will operate a hybrid model of teaching and learning. Hybrid teaching and learning combines online, blended teaching, face-to-face and small group teaching.
Full timetables will be available once you register for your modules. All timetable information is subject to prevailing public health requirements.

Incoming students
The School of Medicine is delighted to welcome our incoming first year Medical students to UCC.
Here you will find details on your Semester 1 timetable.
There are three categories of delivery of learning this year, that you will need to be aware of:
Synchronous - you are required to engage online with this content at the time and date specified on the timetable
Asynchronous - this is online content that you complete in your own time.
On campus - students attend as per module schedule.
Please note for on campus learning you will be assigned to a Pod. Pods are groups of 8 students. Please see Canvas for details.
Please note, that the situation is ever evolving and the timetable and delivery methods may change during the semester, depending on NPHET guidelines and public health advise. Please ensure to regularly check Canvas for updates.
Returning students
The School of Medicine is delighted to welcome back our returning Medical students to UCC.
To comply with government guidelines and to ensure the safety of both our students and staff, the School of Medicine programmes will be delivered in a blended fashion in 2020-2021. This means students will engage in both online learning (live online events and pre-made online content) and on-campus learning (in-person sessions at UCC).
