A team representing University College Cork recently participated in the 31st Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot at the University of Vienna, Austria
In March, students from the School of Law travelled to Vienna to participate in the 31st Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Competition.
The purpose of the Vis Moot is to foster the study of international commercial law and arbitration and provide a practical training to students for resolving international business disputes.
Throughout the week, the students competed in four preliminary rounds against Paolo University, The Pontifical Catholic University of Compinas, the University of Eastern Finland and UNESCO University of Iran.
Congratulations to the UCC team - coach Amy O'Rourke, researchers Pepper Robson and Emily Wycherley and advocates Roisin Farrelly, Michela Thenahandi, Elaine Treacy and Aoife Fealy.
Many thanks to the Southern Law Association for their support and sponsorship.
