New LLM in ADR gives students the opportunity to qualify as a mediator
The School of Law’s new LLM in ADR, launching this September, will give students the opportunity to qualify as a mediator.
The LLM offers three specialist mediation modules: Advanced Mediation Theory and Skills (LW6665), Negotiation and Mediation (LW6643) and Childrens Rights and Family Mediation Processes (LW6667).
These modules been approved by the Irish Professional Mediators’ Organisation (IPMO) following an assessment against a competency and standard accreditation framework approved by the Board of the IPMO, on the basis that the programme meets the required high standards and criteria. This means that any student who successfully completes this approved suite of three modules is a qualified mediator entitled to apply for membership of IPMO as a newly qualified mediator (NQ).
Information on the IPMO and its membership options can be found here.
