Teaching Italian as a Foreign Language Certificates

DITALS is a professional qualification offered by the Università per Stranieri di Siena for teachers (or prospective teachers) of Italian as a foreign language. DITALS certificates are graded according to levels of competence, allowing students to prepare for those levels which best suit their professional needs. DITALS Explanation‌

FEES:

DITALS level I

1 category of learners €170 + €15 (admin. costs)

2 categories of learners €290 + €15 (admin. costs)

DITALS level II

€260+ €15 (admin. costs)

It is sometimes possible for students registered for the DITALS qualification in a recognized institution to undertake a teaching placement of minimum 12 weeks (September-December, or January-March) in the Department of Italian, UCC. To be considered for such a placement, please send a full cv and two references to the Head of Department, Dr Silvia Ross (s.ross@ucc.ie).
