HEAnet Conference 2022

The HEAnet Conference took place in Killarney in March.  HEAnet have been running the HEAnet Conference since 2001. Every year, the HEAnet Conference attracts hundreds of attendees from the education and research sector. It was fantastic to see the conference back in person and Minister Simon Harris open the event.

We were delighted to see and support our colleague Claire Crowley, who took the main stage at this year’s conference. Claire shared her experience of working on EU mobility projects and the pivotal role played by identity in such projects.  The presentation was both informative and thought-provoking regarding Irish HEIs’ current engagement with EU projects and outlined how increased collaboration will further maximise future benefits. Claire’s talk and presentation are available to view online.

Our colleague Aoife Coffey from the Library also spoke at this year’s conference and you can view that talk and presentation online, where Aoife and Jenny O’Neill (UCD) talked about “A Day in the Life of a Librarian and Research Management”.  It was fantastic to see UCC represented at this years HEAnet Conference and well done to each speaker and the team in HEAnet for organising an enlightening and enjoyable conference.  We look forward to the next conference in November 2023.
