Digital Advisory Centre

IT Services launched The Digital Advisory Centre in May 2022.  The aim of the Digital Advisory Centre (DAC) is to ensure that UCC staff are aware of the digital solutions that are available to them and to improve processes through the application of these digital technologies.  We want to start a discussion about technology use and improvement opportunities across the University and provide the best solutions to staff, departments and the University as a whole.

Why engage with the Digital Advisory Centre?

The Digital Advisory Centre (DAC) will work with a nominated staff member from a department assisting and advising on the best use of technologies available.  At the end of the process, we hope to leave you empowered with the skills and tools to continue to apply digital solutions.

What can the Digital Advisory Centre help you with?

The initial focus of DAC is to assist departments to digitise paper-based processes using applications such as Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, Forms and Lists.  Departments that have processes that rely on paper forms or email attachments will benefit from a review and a discussion with the DAC team.

Some of the other areas we can help you with are:

  • Digitising paper and email attachment processes
  • Assisting you to utilise Microsoft 365 and GSuite applications
  • Advising you on available technologies and how they can be used in your area
  • Improving internal communication
  • Getting the most out of Teams
  • File Storage Options
