The Evolution of Health Impact Assessment in Wales
The focus of this seminar was on the experience of Wales over more than 20 years in institutionalising HIA across local and national policy development, with examples of HIAs on city development planning, climate change, and Brexit.
Dr Liz Green is Programme Director/Consultant in Public Health, Public Health Wales. Dr Green is Director of the Wales HIA Support Unit, Public Health Wales, and the lead for the International Health Co-ordinating Centre in Public Health Wales. Dr Green is project collaborator on the HRB funded project Developing a Health Impact Assessment Implementation Model: Enhancing Intersectoral Approaches in Tackling Health Inequalities (HIA-IM), which is co-hosted in UCC between the School of Public Health and ISS21.
