Emigre research team visits Aras an Uachtarain
The Emigre research team visited Aras an Uachtarain recently to present a copy of their recent report to President Michael D Higgins.
The research team, comprising Dr Piaras Mac Éinri, Dr. Irial Glynn, Tomas Kelly and Cian Tobin, presented President Michael D Higgins with a copy of the report 'Irish Emigration in an Age of Austerity' at Aras an Uachtarain on Friday October 4th 2013. They were accompanied by President of UCC, Dr. Michael Murphy, by ISS21 Director and Deputy Director, Dr. Linda Connolly and Dr. Caitriona Ni Laoire, and by Mary and Aoife Casey, participants in the Emigre project.
