UCC/Moorepark project selected for one of six 'Giract' bursaries

Holly Clarke, PhD student has been selected for one of six ‘Giract’ (European PhD Flavor Research Awards Programme) bursaries.
Holly Clarke, a PhD student of this School based in Moorepark and supervised by Dr Maurice O'Sullivan and Prof Joe Kerry (UCC) and Dr Kieran Kilcawley (Teagasc), has been selected for one of the six ‘Giract’ (European PhD Flavor Research Awards Programme) 2017/2018 1st year PhD Flavor Research Student bursaries, worth EUR 3,000. The adjudication panel was impressed with Holly’s project proposal, remarking that ‘This is a unique opportunity for a PhD student to experience flavor science across the farming, processing and food quality areas.’
