Digital Accessibility  

UCC continually enhances services and facilities to provide an inclusive and accessible experience for our students.  This includes our physical estate, our online platforms and the variety of supports available from service areas and academic units.   

To deliver on ambitions in Goal 2 of the Strategic Plan, Access UCC and IT Services propose delivering a series of digital enabling projects during summer 2025 that will directly support inclusion, access and universal design. These initiatives will enhance our students’ experience and engagement with learning, deliver key inclusivity enhancements to our campus, support innovative and engaging teaching, and help us use data to better understand the diverse nature of our student body. 

This has included significant investment to improve accessibility in the Audio systems in Lecture theatres, Visual Displays around campus, Teaching Desks, Laptop availability and the data available to inform decision making to improve accessibility.
