Quercus scholars at the One Young World Summit: Edmund Morrisey, Dave Callnan, Clare Keaveney Jiminez, Ellen Ní Fhlanagáin and Marie Martin

One Young World is an organisation that gives young people (aged 18-30) a platform to voice their opinions for change in the world. Congratulations to the 6 Quercus Scholars who attended the One Young World Summit in Dublin in October and to Joanne O'Riordan who was a speaker at this presitgious event.

 

 

 

The One Young World Annual Summit was this year held in Dublin for the first time and over 1,000 young delegates had the opportunity to mix with world leaders and eminent activists, including former President of Ireland, Mary Robinson; former Secretary General of the United Nations, Kofi Annan; and musician, founder of Boomtown Rats and humanitarian, Bob Geldof. At this years event in Dublin Quercus scholar Joanne O'Riordan spoke about her use of technology to enhance her abilities.
