Mags & Lydia: Mighty Lighties of Munich

Quercus Scholars, Mags Cremen and Lydia Heaphy, showed their class when they put the Olympic Champions to the pin of their collar at the A Final of the Women's Lightweight Double Sculls at the European Championships in Munich. 

The two women, titled the 'Mighty Lighties' by their coaches and fellow Team Ireland rowers, put on a mature display to hunt down the Italians for bronze and in the end they just missed out by 0.64 seconds. In the process of their hunt they has us all leapin' out of our seats and provided what was arguably the most exciting race of the Championships - well done Mags and Lydia. 

Their after race interview shows their maturity and both women have really marked themselves out as major competitors!
