Student Feedback Focus Groups
The Student Feedback Ecosystem project is a National Forum-funded project that aims to complement existing routes and resources for student feedback (e.g. the National Student Survey) by developing a policy framework and set of tools for a systematic student feedback tool across UCC. This tool would enable students to provide an insight into your learning experience of a module, the areas you found particularly useful and help identify areas which you feel need improvement. The feedback provided would be an invaluable resource that would influence the development of modules and enhancing the future learning experience of your peers.
As part of this project, we want to recruit students who to help shape the design of this tool through virtual Focus Group sessions. These sessions will be facilitated by the project manager, Dr Stephen Hammel, and would consist of a general discussion on yours’, and a small group of your peers’, opinion on topics related to student feedback e.g. the types of information you would like to be able to give feedback on and how to maximise student engagement etc.
There will only be one session that will be audio recorded and is expected to take 30-40 minutes to complete. All information recorded will be kept anonymous and any identifiable information will be removed. If interested, please read and complete the below information and consent form and submit to Stephen.hammel@ucc.ie.
All selected participants will receive a voucher as a token of our appreciation for your time and help.
