QEU welcomed colleagues from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) for a productive day of peer exchange on quality review processes and good practices. The visit facilitated an open discussions on key challenges and opportunities in quality management, student feedback processes, enhancing the effectiveness of quality initiatives, and benchmarking.

The morning began with a peer dialogue that focused on shared challenges and how to optimise processes. This was followed by parallel knowledge exchange sessions, where both institutions explored their approaches to student feedback, operational effectiveness in quality reviews and benchmarking practices. These sessions allowed for a rich discussion on process enhancements and innovative solutions to ongoing challenges.

After lunch, UCC and RCSI showcased examples of good practices through short presentations. The day concluded with reflections on key learnings and a discussion of next steps for ongoing peer engagement. QEU looks forward to continuing this valuable partnership with RCSI, building on the shared knowledge to enhance quality practices at both institutions.
