Shelly Chakraborty is a PhD scholar based in the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health. She graduated with a BSc Honours in Statistics in 2010 from the University of Calcutta, India. She then completed a Masters in Statistics from Banaras Hindu University,India in 2012 and commenced work in the Department of Biostatistics, All India Institute of Medical sciences, New Delhi,India. She moved on working as a Research fellow in Italy on a ERC funded project for a year before joining this department. Her PhD primarily focuses on the National Burden of Cancer and other obesity related diseases in the Republic OF Ireland which is funded by Centre For Health and Dietary Research(Health Research Board).
