The Department bid farewell to two overseas student interns – Anna Zupetic and Andrea Iglesias, both of whom spent a few months in Prof. O’Halloran’s laboratory this spring.

Using RT-PCR, the young trainees explored gene expression in the diaphragm of an animal model of Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Both presented an oral communication of their work to Prof. O’Halloran and his group on the last day of their internship.
