Presentation of awards 2013

The Department of Physiology hosted an awards event at the close of the academic year on the evening of the viva voce examinations in Physiology. Professor Ken O’Halloran (Head of Department) congratulated the class on a magnificent performance in the final year examinations.
Professor Bridgit Lumb (Bristol) served as external examiner for viva voce examinations and had an opportunity to meet several students including all prize winners. Professor Lumb complemented the Department on the diversity of research opportunities available for undergraduate students and congratulated the students on their individual and collective performances.
The Presentation of the Charles medal in Physiology
David Burns and Kevin Pierce (Physiology Class of 2013) will be jointly awarded the Charles Medal in Physiology.
The Physiological Society Prize
The Physiological Society Prize for 2013 will be awarded to Ashling Lavery.
Undergraduate Research Project Awards
David Burns, Kim O' Brien and Ashling Lavery (Physiology Class of 2013) each received undergraduate research awards.
Physiology Class of 2013 Student of the Year
Michael Corcoran was voted Student of the Year by his fellow 4th year Physiology classmates.
