Also launching its first virtual Achievement Awards ceremony 2020
Tuesday May 12th is the International Day of the Nurse. To celebrate the Catherine McAuley School of Nursing and Midwifery, University College Cork is
- Hosting its first virtual Annual Achievement Awards ceremony: The ceremony will be streamed on the Schools website at 12md and will use the twitter hashtag: #SONMAwards2020. Please join us online to celebrate and congratulate the awardees.
- Launching the School’s 2019 Annual Report which summarises the activities of the staff and students within the School over the last year.
Tuesday May 5th was International Midwives Day. To celebrate the School of Nursing and Midwifery, UCC
- Had a feature on “Educating the Nurses and Midwives of the Future” published with the Irish Times.
UCC’s main Quad is lit in blue to celebrate both the 5th and 12th of May highlighting the contribution of nurses and midwives to the health services.
May 12th 2020: UCC’s School of Nursing and Midwifery Annual Achievement Awards took place virtually on the International Day of the Nurse May 12th. This was the first online School of Nursing and Midwifery Annual Achievement Awards and was a celebratory occasion marking the valiant efforts of students who have exhibited excellence in all aspects of university life and acknowledged students and healthcare workers who have made broader societal contributions. Winners were selected based on their exemplary performance in the 2019/2020 academic year. UCC’s President Professor Patrick O’Shea launched the momentous awards ceremony.
