Dr Peter ‘Kevin’ O’Shaughnessy Lecturer in the Nursing School of Nursing and Midwifery at the University of South Australia visited the UCC Catherine McAuley School of Nursing and Midwifery on Friday May 24th 2019. Dr O’Shaughnessy met with Dr Mohamad Saab and Professor Josephine Hegarty to discuss future research and academic collaborations. Dr O’Shaughnessy has been researching the supportive care needs of men with prostate cancer, their partners, and families at various stages of men’s prostate cancer journey. He got in touch with Dr Saab earlier to arrange for a visit due to shared research interests in male-specific cancers. Dr Saab, Professor Hegarty, and the E.CASP cancer research team at the Catherine McAuley School of Nursing and Midwifery are looking forward to collaborating with Dr O’Shaughnessy in the near future.
