UN Women in Science Day
The United Nations declared the 11th of February to be the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. To mark the event in 2016, the UCC Biological Society held an information session for students of local secondary schools. Maria was invited to give a talk in which she described her career path, typical working day, and motivation to become a scientist.
