Cork City Fossil Walk!

Ireland’s Fossil Heritage is hosting a public walk in Cork city centre on Monday April 15th from 11.30 am – 12.30 pm as part of the Cork Lifelong Learning Festival.

We will be visiting some of the best and most spectacular fossils visible in the building stones of the city’s walls and footpaths. Highlighting the fossil wonders in places that we walk by every day. We will share the secrets of the fossils, explaining how they formed, where they lived, and even how they died.
 
The walk will begin at St. Mary’s Church, Popes Quay. The walk is on flat ground, and is suitable for all ages, from 7 years +
