The School of Law is delighted to announce that UCC has been named as one of the world's top universities for the study of law according to the latest world subject rankings produced by higher education analysts, QS.
The QS Subject Rankings identify the word’s leading schools in particular fields, taking into account academic reputation, employer reputation and research impact. Law at UCC has been consistently positioned in the Top 100 University Law Schools for the past five years due to its strengths across these fields.
This year's rankings saw 5,202 institutions analysed with 1,747 different higher education institutions across 148 countries making the final published listings.
Welcoming the results Professor Mark Poustie, Dean of the School of Law said:
“I am delighted that Law at UCC has been ranked in the top 100 in the world for the 5th year running. This is a testament to the quality of our research and the legal education we provide as reflected in our reputation and research statistics. It’s a real team effort across the School and I’d like to pay tribute to my colleagues and to our graduates who all contribute to this fantastic result. I’m particularly grateful to all who responded to the QS Survey on behalf of Law at UCC.”
