Matheson award PhD Scholarship
The Matheson PhD Scholarship is funded through the Matheson - UCC Innovation Partnership.
The School of Law is delighted to welcome Laura Polcyn as the Matheson PhD Scholarship recipient.
This scholarship is funded through the Matheson - UCC Innovation Partnership. Launched in 2023, the UCC and Matheson Innovation Partnership is a sponsorship which has supported the creation of a new lectureship and scholarship, as well as a series of lectures and collaborative events in the area of law, technology and innovation.
Laura has a BA in History and Economics and MA in History from Canada, a LLB from UCC, and a LLM in European and International Business Law from the University of Vienna.
Laura's thesis will examine Smart Regulation in the Digital Era: Perceptions of Proportionality in Regulating Algorithmic Trading
